Our school continue sthe music prep course for children from five to ten years. The aim of the course is the gradual integration of children into the magical world of music. In this lesson the children will be able to develop the confidence, the way of expression, creativity, and knowledge in general. Research by psychologists at universities abroad, show that children who are involved with music from a very young age, develop knowledge and skills that help them perform better in all their courses, compared with students who are not involved with music.

1.Listening to Music- Listening to music from almost all genres: classical, jazz, blues, rock, pop and World Music. (World Music-Ethnic). Through this module the student is encouraged to learn to listen, respect and appreciate music as an art. Also through listening will learn to describe, and express each of their own separate feelings. Finally they will learn to narrate and write their own stories and tales based on the music they listen to.

2.Music Animation-In this part of the course we encourage creativity and improvisation, asking students to draw pictures based on the emotions caused to them by music. Also with the use of visual material of animation they will be taught many concepts of music.

3.Music Theatre and Film-Through audiovisual material taken from the theater and the cinema the student learns to associate what he/she sees on picture with the music he/she hears. We encourage discussion and each one separately develop their own ideas.

4.Meet Tones-Students come in touch with sounds coming from nature and everyday life. They learn to recognize and create sounds and to distinguish the difference of musical sounds and ordinary noises (Pitched and unpitched sounds).

5.Meet the musical instruments-At this point the students come in touch with all musical instruments via audiovisual material. Learn the families of instruments and associate their sound with animals and the sounds of nature and everyday life.

6.History of music-Students take their first steps in music by doing academic theory and History of Music. They are taught to write notes and recognize them, and also learn to recognize musical symbols.

Provide an opportunity for your children to learn the king of all instruments, the violin. Our school offers a comprehensive way for the child to begin violin lessons. Through a series of art songs, music listening and toy, the child becomes one with the world of the violin. As soon the child builds a solid technical foundation, we then examine the different types of music that he/she can perform such as classical, contemporary, traditional Cypriot music, etc. Students will then find that the violin is fun, just like learning a new language.

The oldest of all music organs is the human voice. Each individual is endowed by nature with its own distinctive voice identity, used to express and communicate with the outside world. Indeed, the voice is the “mirror of the soul” and it’s a great strength for someone to know how to handle his/her voice as a musical instrument through lessons and practice, thus unfolding the richness inherent in him/her.

The main objective of the voice/singing course is the maximum and full voice output throughout the range with little effort. In this course we teach the proper posture during the process of singing, proper breathing (diaphragmatic breathing), the orthophonic placement of voice with suitable formation of vowels, the correct technique through proper use of appropriate muscles and cavities of the body and the study of songs, much needed on the part of the course and on each student’s chosen songs. Further,we intergrate in the broader context of the lesson, the practice of hearing and the cultivation of the musical ear of the student, supplies that play a key role in the integrated learning of the vocal art.

During the lessons, our school provides the option of recording songs with the use of technical resources.

The electric bass is the instrument that will give a band the heavy volume and rate simultaneously . It is the organ that replaced contra-bass during the 60s . After a series of lessons and hearings the student shall be familiar with the bass and recognize it as a musical instrument in a set of organs. The student begins to understand the importance of rhythm and the bass, in general, in a song. The student enters the world of jazz,funk, fusion, rock, blues and so many other musical hearings and at the end he/she manages to love this wonderful instrument.

Hearing is one of the greatest senses in humans. For a musician to develop this sense is the most important thing. In the ear training course, we give particular emphasis to teach the student to understand all the details of sound, rhythm and music listening in general. Music technology courses will take place on our premises or on the premises of Steel Fortress Studios. The course will be divided into three main categories: theory, Midi and Audio. In theory, we will see some important historical events of Music Technology ,Midi commands and the types of microphones and their construction. Also some important issues about the waveforms, effects and uses. In Midi we will see those commands practically. In the final stage of the Audio we will see how to make the recordings via microphones and beyond, and how they can be edited. As technology progresses, so our students will be able to experiment and continue at home what we do in the lessons without particular problems, since Home Studios are now very widespread. This way our students will able to not only study at home but also to record, create and listen as listeners their own and other compositions.
